Each of our rooms have:

Allowing children to create and act out their own stories using their own real-life experiences such as making dinner or putting the washing on! The dressing up rail enables children to share experiences of different job roles such as people who help us and our community.

This is our cosy area where children can sit, relax and look at the selection of age appropriate books, storytelling sessions and small group work often take place here too.

Where our younger children have an area to “mark make” and promote their fine motor skills using different materials and tools. The pre school children have their own dedicated area “Creative Corner” where they can independently paint, use the sand and water resources and make crafts.

We have lots of resources in our maths areas to help children develop fine motor skills, threading activities, jigsaws, shape sorters, number matching and activities for number recognition.

Resources such as drawing boards, chalk boards and white boards make learning a fun way to start learning their pencil grasp and letter formation.

This allows children to build on their on their communication and language skills, acting out their own narratives while playing independently or in small groups.
